| | | | Evaluating alternatives Amy's programmers had suggested a series of coding frameworks they could embrace, but it soon became clear that this was merely pushing the problem around, and not solving it. Indeed, they had been bitten before, when they invested heavily in Flash technology, only to find it compromised their sites' ability to be indexed on search engines, and when that was finally solved, to find it wasn't supported on Apple's new products. She is unsure about which web development traing route to follow. Silverlight showed similar promise, but clearly was also at the mercy of the power politics between the platform vendors. What was needed was a solution which stepped back from the technology warfare, and took a more pragmatic business-centric approach, which was designed help monetize their time, rather than act as a proxy for someone else's powerplay.
